Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how DreamFlip (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our iOS and Android applications and related services.
1. Information we process
- Dream content you submit: nightmare text, fear level, rewrite style, and language/region preferences needed to generate a rewritten story.
- Device / locale signals: app language and device country/region codes used to localize humor and output language.
- App preferences: settings such as selected UI language and local token balance stored on device.
- Advertising data: if rewarded ads are shown, Google AdMob and related partners may collect advertising identifiers and interaction data according to their policies.
- Diagnostics: limited technical logs (for example Cloud Function errors) to keep the service reliable. We do not sell personal data.
2. How we use information
- To rewrite nightmares via our secure cloud backend and AI processing providers.
- To adapt stories to your selected language and cultural context.
- To operate rewarded ads that grant Flip tokens.
- To improve stability, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
3. AI processing
When you tap Flip, your dream text and related parameters are sent to our secure backend and processed by AI models to generate a title, story, and cognitive takeaway. Do not submit sensitive personal data you are not comfortable sending to AI processing providers.
4. Data storage & retention
- Journal entries and tokens are stored locally on your device unless you later enable cloud sync (if offered).
- Server-side processing is used to generate rewrites; we do not intentionally keep a permanent archive of every dream transcript beyond what is required for service operation, security, and debugging.
- You can delete local journal content by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
5. Third-party services
- Google Firebase / Cloud Functions — backend processing and hosting.
- AI processing providers — generative rewrite of dream text.
- Google AdMob — rewarded advertising. See Google’s ads privacy resources for more detail.
6. Children’s privacy
DreamFlip is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your choices
- Change app language in Settings.
- Limit ad tracking in your device system settings where available.
- Stop submitting dream content at any time; uninstall to remove local data.
- Contact us for privacy questions (see Support).
8. International users
DreamFlip is offered worldwide. Processing may occur on servers outside your country. By using the app, you understand that your submitted content may be transferred for AI processing.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
